Our Communities: Over 50s

In year two of the Sleep Talkers project the focus was on the over 50s community.

The prevalence of sleep disorders is higher among older adults. As you age, your internal clocks become less efficient, resulting in falling asleep and waking up earlier.

Like the physical changes that occur during old age, an alteration in sleep pattern is also a part of the normal ageing process. As people age, they tend to have a harder time falling asleep and more trouble staying asleep.
